HO Mark III Tamper Kit, Rebuilt Version – Silver Spike Designs

Used by CSX, Conrail and others, this represents a rebuilt Mark III tamper with new cab, steps, and self deploying laser buggy.  These units are rebuilt from older Mark III Tampers by Quality Track Equipment in Austinburg, OH.  Earliest known units date to around 2011.Â

Kit includes main frame, cab, engine housing cover, step assembly, air conditioner, and laser buggy and carts.  Builds one tamper. 3D printed 28″ wheels included, or use standard 33″ freight car wheel sets.
