Built for Rock Island Railroad in 1973, this gondola has a 263,000-pound capacity and belonged to a series of 100 cars. It was later obtained by Chicago & North Western, and then by Union Pacific. Union Pacific continues to operate today as one of the largest Class 1 railroads in North America with over 32,000 miles of track.
