The Digitrax DB210is ahigh-output auto-reversing DCC boosterdesigned to expand power capacity and simplify wiring on LocoNet-based Digitrax layouts. It can be used as a standard DCC booster to add power districts, or configured to automatically handle reverse sections such as loops, wyes, and turntables.
This dual-purpose capability makes the DB210 a popular choice for expanding home layouts and advanced operating setups that require both additional power and automatic polarity control.
The DB210 works alongside a Digitrax command station, which provides DCC control signals. The booster supplies additional electrical current to the rails, allowing more locomotives — especially sound-equipped engines — to operate reliably.
The Digitrax DB210 also functions as anauto-reversing booster. When configured for reversing operation, it automatically manages track polarity in reversing sections without requiring a separate auto-reverser module.
This is commonly used for:
When a train enters or exits the reversing section, the DB210 automatically detects the polarity change and switches instantly — keeping operations smooth and uninterrupted.
The DB210 can be configured as either:
This flexibility reduces wiring complexity and eliminates the need for additional reversing hardware.
The DB210 requires aseparate Digitrax command stationto operate. Common pairings include Zephyr Express, Evolution Express (wired or wireless), and DCS240+ systems.
The command station provides control commands, while the DB210 supplies power to a specific power district or reversing section.

The standard DB210 is ideal for most home layouts with straightforward wiring. For very large layouts, modular setups, or club environments where electrical isolation is important, Digitrax also offers an opto-isolated version.

No. The DB210 is a DCC booster only. It does not generate DCC commands and must be used with a separate command station.
No. The DB210 includes built-in auto-reversing capability, eliminating the need for a separate reversing module when powering reverse sections.
Yes. Multiple boosters can be used on a single layout to create separate power districts and support additional trains.
Yes. Booster operation is independent of throttle type. Wired and wireless throttles both benefit from increased track power.
