1/72 Zvezda Soviet Machine-Gun with Crew (Winter Uniform) 6220

Soviet 7,62mm machine gun Maxim with water cooling was the principle machine gun of the Red army and was extensively used during Great Patriotic war. It was belt-fed and used standard riffle ammo. The belt included 250 cartridges. The machine gun could fire up to 600 shots in a minute. To facilitate transporting of the heavy machine gun (its weight was about 70 kg) was used Sokolov’s wheel carriage. The machine gun was used to fire at enemy infantry and vulnerable parts of enemy vehicles
