Historical Background:

From 1944, the de Havilland Mosquito B.XVI entered service with a pressurized cabin for high-altitude operations. This unarmed bomber could carry a 3,000lb bomb load, later modified to accommodate the devastating 4,000lb “Cookie” blockbuster bomb internally. The B.35, the last bomber version with Merlin 113/114 engines, served operationally until 1954. Many B.35s were converted to TT.35 target tugs by Brooklands Aviation Ltd, serving with Civilian Anti Aircraft Cooperation Units until May 1963.
