To solve the weak armor protection problem, designer do several works to improve the armor protection, after improvement, the armor of KV-1, turret reaches about 75mm thick. German also does some improvements on seized KV-1, including installation of 75mm L/43 main gun, installation of standard German command Capula. All painted deep sand yellow or tri-color camouflage.
