About the F-4 Phantom Belly Strap

The belly strap was a structural reinforcement added to later production F-4E Phantoms and all F-4G Wild Weasel variants to strengthen the fuselage. This distinctive feature was also found on F-4S aircraft and the F-4J Phantoms operated by the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy, making it an essential detail for accurate modeling of these variants.

Modeling Notes

These 3D printed parts come on support structures and can be easily removed using sprue cutters or a sharp X-Acto type blade. Light sanding may be needed to remove any remnants of the support nibs along the edges for a clean finish. Use super glue (CA) to attach the belly strap pieces to your kit for a secure bond.
