After a 4-year layoff, Chevy® introduced a totally new design of the popular Camaro®.  The design was reminiscent of the famous 1969 Camaro®, the most popular Chevy® ever made. It debuted in 2006 at the North American International Auto Show and was an immediate sensation. It was designed by South Korean-born Sangyup Lee. In 2010, the full production examples rolled off the assembly line. They represented the fifth generation of the Camaro®.
